Organizing short and long-term vocational training courses in agriculture and allied vocations for the farmers and rural youths with emphasis on “learning by doing” for higher production on farms and generating self-employment.

To organize In-service/refresher training courses for the staff of line departments to update the extension personnel with emerging advances in agricultural research on regular basis and orient them in the frontier areas of technology development.

Organizing “Front Line Demonstrations” on various crops to generate production data and feedback information.

To conduct On farm Trials for the solution of location specific problems In addition to the mandates KVK organizes various extension activities like field days, campaigns, group meetings, farmer’s seminars, camps, specialized lectures, celebration of special days, techonology weeks, exhibitions, TV and radio talks etc.KVK also produce certified seed of improved varieties of different crops for nurturing the needs of Ropar district
