Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Ropar was established in 2004 under the administrative control of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana with full financial assistance from Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) through Zonal Project Directorate Zone-1. This Kendra was donated 25 acres of land by Govt. of Punjab at Birla farm area for carrying out demonstrations on different disciplines of Agriculture and allied activities and seed production of different crops for the farming community of Ropar. The office Premises is located in the village Haveli Kalan just near to district administrative complex. This station is located about 105 kms distance from the main PAU, Ludhiana campus on Chandigarh-Amritsar national highway. Since inception this KVK has been endeavouring for the upliftment of socio-economic condition of the farming community of the district through scientific intervention in the agricultural and allied sectors.
